Some Thoughts on LOVE

What is the opposite of LOVE : LOGIC

As long as you are logical, its difficult to fall in LOVE ( You cannot attribute Gravity or poor Newton for this)..

Some more proverbs in my support...

1) Love is Blind...( Well, if you are not logical, you do not pay heed to what other's say, however practical it might sound, then its confirmed.. You have been bitten by the Love-Bug)
2) Beauty Lies in the Eyes of the Beholder. ( Same reason as above.)

3) Everything is fair in LOVE and War.. ( Doesn't that boil down to justifying some irrational behavior ")..

4) I was swept away when I saw him/her ( Knock Knock.. Mr Newton, please forget about Inertia for the time-being.)

5) I find a lot of Hollywood movies where the Heroine mentions to the Hero " Have you ever done something that makes you feel really stupid later on ?" and what follows is a nice lip-locking, passionate kissing AND....

( What follows then is left to viewer's discretion and imagination....)

According to Hindu customs and traditions, its customary for us to remove our shoes/slippers when we enter the Temple of GOD. Similarly, the basic fundamental pre-requisite is for us to remove our brains/logic before entering the temple of LOVE. If you find doing this very uncomfortable or uneasy, then, Sorry Boss, LOVE and you are NOT " Made for Each Other".

I really pity people who lead dual lives of LOVE and LOGIC.. I understand, its very hard to switch channels every now and then. They are partly to be blamed for this SPLIT-PERSONALITY.

But all said and done, LOVE does add its dash of variety and spice to make life exciting. It has an important role to spread HOPE amidst a sea of despair and lastly, it gives FAITH for wo/mankind to surmount everyday challenges of LIFE.

JOKOMERCIAL ( Joke+Commercial.)

Once upon a time there lived a king. The king had a beautiful daughter, the princess..But there was a problem.
Everything the princess touched would melt. No matter what; metal, wood, plastic- anything she touched would melt.
Because of this, men were afraid of her. Nobody would dare marry her. The king despaired. What could he do to help his daughter. He consulted his wizards and magicians.
One wizard told the king, "If your daughter touches one thing that does not melt in her hands, she will be cured. "
The king was overjoyed. The next day, he held a competition.Any man that could bring his daughter an object that would not melt would marry her and inherit the king's wealth.
Three young princes took up the challenge. The first prince brought a very hard alloy of titanium.
But alas, once the princess touched it, it melted. The prince went away sadly.
The second prince brought a huge diamond, thinking that diamond is the hardest substance in the world and surely, it would not melt.
But alas, once the princess touched it, it melted. He too was sent away disappointed.
The third prince approached. He told the princess, "Put your hand in my pocket and feel what is in there."
The princess did as she was told, and she turned red.She felt something hard. She held it in her hand. And....

And...

And it did not melt!!! The king was overjoyed. Everybody in the kingdom was overjoyed.
And the third prince married the princess and they both lived happily ever after. But The Question Is :
What was the object in the prince's pants?

They melt in your mouth, not in your hand.

Arjuna and the Big Picture

There is a famous, frequently narrated story in Mahabharata which talks about how Dronacharya tests the archery skills of his disciples and how Arjuna sees only the Bird's-eye and nothing else. Drona is filled with pride seeing his pet disciple and blesses him to be a great archer.
But what people forget to tell children is that " Looking at the Bird'seye " is not very desirable in all situations. In fact, its smacks of foolishness and naivety . Concenration and focus is something worth avoiding especially when it comes to making any decision which has financial implications, which means almost every single decision in life.
Say for example : A Consumer Products company says that " If you buy a Television, you get a Digital Camera free ". What people see is only is the free Digital Camera and not think twice about the financial implication of buying a TV, whether a TV is needed or not for their household. This is equalent to seeing the Bird's-eye and blinding ourselves to reality.
Arjuna represents the quintessential consumer of today. Companies love Arjuna and hope that every consumer continues to be as naive as him.
There aint no such thing as a Free Lunch.. Companies continue to be as profitable as ever. Consumers continue to be as indebted as ever. Ultimately, everyone is happy...
